Laptop Recommendation?

...That's an Intel i3 processor...kind of weak/old...get atleast an i5. and i personally prefer/use Windows 7...not a fan of Win8...feels like using a cellphone OS.
and 1366x768 resolution is on the low end...get something that has more pixels.
oh man, I'd give anything to go back to windows 7. How do I do that?

...it's gonna be kind of hard to find a brand new laptop that has Win7 installed, or is available as an option. You will most likely have to install it yourself.

yes, I am that incompetent when it comes to pc's. I started on two IBM 360's when I worked at EDS. Check this one out, it says you can get win7.

That sounds good -- everything seems fine, but choose atleast the 1920x1080 display option. 1366x768 is way too small, in my opinion. Everyone likes Win7, over Win8. the people who use their computers all day.

Display
  • 15.6" HD (1366 x 768) Antiglare
  • 15.6" F HD (1920 x 1080) TN Wide Angle
  • 15.5" 3K (2880 x 1620) IPS
  • 15.5" 3K (2880 x 1620) I PS Touch Screen

ok, thanks for the help

Hey, I was the last guy to leave Windows XP. Stayed with it even when support ran out.

Windows 8 is not the new Windows Vista or Windows Millenium. It is a serious shift in the Windows UI. W7 is far back enough that you could get a new generation of software that could become incompatible. Unless your a techie, stay in the front-middle.

Even if you do go with Win7, take a peek at the support page and see if they have Win8 drivers for that model at least.
