Have just got my hands on some new investment capital (about $100k) so will list how I trade it here.

Mostly will be Canadian Equities.

Will post my current positions and when I exit.

I plan to be relatively conservative here...
most likely Canadian stocks, paying dividends...
Gunning to beat the market...not sure by what %....

I have some positions on now in PSI, SHAK, and others.... but will exclude these and start with a clean slate on this new group of funds...
 
I've been waiting to by POT for a while...
with the dividend cut today, although the chart looks mangled, I am hoping to enter...

Also looking at KPT, ITP...
all on the TSE...

Yes, I'll watch your trades since CDN equities are what I swing trade as well.

One of the nice things about CDN stocks, that are transposed with the U.S., is the gyration's are wider because of our lower $.

here is a list of my recent holdings from the month:

RX - BIOSYENT INC - 1,000 shares @$6.71
BDI - BLACK DIAMOND GROUP LTD - 1,655 shares @$5.43
CTY - CALIAN TECHNOLOGIES LTD - 400 shares @$16.02
MFC - MANULIFE FINANCIAL CORP - 596 shares @$17.16
 
PSI - PASON SYSTEMS INC- 410 shares @$16.55
QHR - QHR CORPORATION- 5,600 shares @$1.23
SIS - SAVARIA CORPORATION - 1,300 shares @$5.15
ZCL - ZCL COMPOSITES INC - 1,000 shares @$7.11
 
IMO you need to know your potential losses on every trade, and keep them to a minimum.
You don't mention put options, I'm assuming you have stop losses on your selections.
In a very short answer, any specific reason for those eight securties?

yes, i'm very familiar with options and have used them for 15 years. No options on these positions....these are long term value plays, most of which are paying dividends, that I plan to keep in my portfolio for quite some time. No stop losses in mind at this time.
