What I don’t understand is that of the 130k who have been infected, how come only like 60k have recovered and 5k have died. What happend to the other 55k?

this is a strain of the coronavirus which is well know. This version is a different form which is why it is called Novel Coronabit still genetically the same as one of the 4 common coronas found in animals.
Unless this mutation is now severe, there are not really any long term effects except for dangers to elderly due to lung issues with mucus buildup.

This virus has aspects of it that are HIV related. Bats are immune to HIV. That means that most likely this bitch come from a lab.
