I must have missed that post as well, but I've never known Nitro to lie to other people (he only lies to himself), so my question is: Did anyone here see Nitro closing out his old short positions? Anyone at all?

I'll apologize to Nitro if he can link to the post on this thread where he said he covered. Otherwise it's a joke. Both Rearden and Nitro know me and I don't harass people in the trading threads. But this thread is so far beyond bizarre I just can't explain it. I know Nitro. But it's like online he is living some kind of alternate personality. Why? I have no fucking clue. I stopped trying to figure people out a long time ago. I said the same thing about Surf before he got banned. I just don't get the charade. Yeah I get it, ET is an escape for most people. Get away from the wife, kids, barking dog or maybe just to escape loneliness. But why drag this act to such deep lengths?

I agree with Rearden that Nitro at his core is a good guy. I just don't understand the multiple personality disorder that seems to permeate so many people on this message board. This place would be so much better if people just dropped the act and shared and exchanged useful information. Maybe THAT is the fantasy.

Of course Plosser has been saying this all along, but I think 6.5% is likely a new target within the FED.

I am beginning to be suspect that the FED will continue buying bonds for a REALLY long time, since the problems with world economies are structural, and the only thing that will transform economies is something completely unexpected, a very disruptive idea. The world continues to run on the same old ideas of people going to jobs for income, with escalating real estate prices and rent with sagging incomes and massive inequity, we have maybe another 25 years before a major world wide collapse will occur.

I am very weary of 2029-2032.

mav, i'm really not trying to diagnose or figure out wacko behavior but i will put out a few chit chat worthy possibilities.

if u hang on a trading site; but have not made money you resort to playing these weird childish games to pass time? i'm not just referring to nitro exclusively.

another possibility is they simply are working for ET to keep posts coming...but i do personally believe its the first point thats the truth. thankfully at least for now real threads still exist that fall into the realm of reality and of good solid trading related sharing.
another vote to move to chit chat. there is so much lunacy in this thread its nuts; notwithstanding a successful trader would never ever run a book like portrayed here.

Maverick is just trying to keep people honest. I have already explained that the positions that he and others believe are open before 1569 were closed LONG LONG ago, in a galaxy FAR FAR away. They simply missed the post.

I abide by the rule of DRY, or, DONT REPEAT YOURSELF.

Nitro has behaved in a mentally deranged state on this board for several years. Whether it's his ridiculous short trades, crazy day trading models, or various theories on topics like company values ( eg non dividend paying companies have no value ).

it's no shame to admit you're wrong...in fact it's a good thing for a trader.

with no stated capital limits and no stated stop limits and no stated basis for the entries ... the trades are just not interesting.
......post some stops at least, and it might become interesting.... if and when the trades become profitable or unprofitable.

... it would make more sense to be weary of 2014 and wary of 2029

1742 a probable short-term bounce point. My initial target is 1642 -1650 where I will have a massive profit. Then I have some serious soul searching to do.

So 1650 gives a massive profit.. ok... What does 1820 give??? 1850?? 1900??
