My read on the matter is that nitro personall knows Maverick74. Mav lays out the truth and nitro threatens him with bodily harm (he's a gym rat) so Mav runs and hides.... Mav - don't pussy out to him. Diminishes your reputation as a power trader....

Stocks were dropping very sharply in the fall of '08, and Nitro was giving credit to the MM's for putting in bids, thus stabilizing the market, instead of sitting aside and letting everything crash. That's the gist of it, I think.

OK, that would have been a great explanation 12 years ago. The problem is there are no "MM's" in stocks anymore. There were no guys placing bids all the way down protecting us from doom except maybe the government. That is why that post did not make sense. So we got 400 plus pages of posts to follow up that first post? Looks like someone took my delorean out for a spin while I wasn't looking.

No shortie, that is not what I said. I said his first post was nonsensical and then was surprised that a thread that started with that post could have 400 pages of follow through.
