Ku Klux Klan Says It Doesn't Condone Tea Party or Koran Burning

Quote from Gabfly1:

I am saying that you shouldn't trust people wearing sheets over their heads. In any event, the fact that there were incidents in the earlier Tea Party days does not exactly support their claim.

Given the fact that this recently happened at a liberal rally do you consider all liberals racist?

That's just one of many. It's obvious that the real hate and racism is centered with the Liberals.

I dont think either side writes the book on racism. Psychopaths are psychopaths, and in any large sampling of people there is going to be a few whackos in the group.

There is one side however, who tries to use false accusations of racism, as a political tool, and that sure as hell isnt the right.

This is explained by the simple historical fact.
The Klan has always been an arm of the democratic party.
This is proof they still are.

That's a very interesting point which I hadn't considered. Thanks for raising it.

A clear sign that perhaps you've gone off the deep end? When even the Ku Klux Klan tries to distance itself from your actions.

According to some little noticed 2010 press releases on the KKK's main website, which turned up this week on Reddit, it seems as if America's most famous hate group is actually very concerned about being mistakenly lumped in with other zealots on the right, including Koran-burning churches, the Westboro Baptists, and the Tea Party.

In one statement from August 2010, the Klan had this (shockingly reasonable thing) to say about Terry Jones, the Florida pastor whose Koran burning set off a massacre at a U.N. building in Afghanistan in early April this year:

There are without doubt Islamic sects that teach extreme views of Islam but, going down to their level of hatred by burning their books is a dangerous and ignorant way to confront their teachings. The flames made by such unholy fires never die out! The Ku Klux Klan, LLC. opposes this most un-American thinking and activity.

The Klan also says it "absolutely repudiates" the Westboro Baptist Church's practice of protesting at American soldiers' funerals, and, maybe most surprisingly, it says it's no fan of the Tea Party.

"Our Associates, members and supporters are here officially ordered: NOT to attend Tea Party events or support them in ANY way," writes the Klan. "The Tea Party does not represent any but a shallow limited political agenda, which fails to serve our Nations interests. They are an extension of the Republican Party and seek to compromise it. We do NOT support any political party, all have betrayed the trust of the American people, and they have compromised their agenda to support the Progressive Socialist enslavement of the American people."

Emphasis ours, as we think this must be the first time in history that "socialist enslavement" mudslinging was directed at the Tea Party rather than originating there.

The Klan has been trying to become a kinder and gentler Klan. The crosses and such have damaged their brand severely.

The new tactic is to become a white collar Klan, and promote their agenda by the time honored tactic of gentlemen's agreements.

Thus they are taking populist stand and moving away from Washington and all things extreme. They are trying to become the Klan a proper( white, non-jewish, non-intermarried) soccer mom could embrace.

Practically speaking, that is nonsense.

This would be like saying George Washington was actually British, and not American...because he was a British subject before he changed his allegiance.

Why do the republicans deny the change in the old democratic party pre 1960...and even the republican party of IKE pre 1960?

Why do the conservatives never show photos of IKE at their conventions?

It is all about Reagan who ballooned the military industrial complex ...never about the true Republican IKE who warned against the danger of the military industrial complex.

Oh yes, the spin is that they are just like the Lone Ranger, fighting for justice behind a mask...and a wearing a cross...of course.
