Totally agree with you re: a balanced budget. I'd like to know, however, if you had issues with it before Trump as well. Because you don't mention anything about Obama in your above Presidential narrative (Reagan, Clinton, Bush...)

Honestly, to a much lesser degree. My reasoning is that Obama inherited 1 trillion deficit and was dealing with one of the largest financial market crises. When he left he reduced it by 1/2.

Then comes Trump and doubles it during great economic times to allow him and his top buddies pay a bit less. Makes 0 sense. Middle class got tax increase in many areas.

Liberals cheer spending when a Liberals is spending. Conservatives point out the budget issues when a Liberal is spending. Conservatives are OK with Conservative Presidents spending. Liberals suddenly become budget hawks.

Both sides are hypocrites.

Of course they did. My main point was to address OP point 3. GOP balloons debt, and not just dems. Most other points can be addressed in the same way.
