Kris Kullamagi Breakout Setups

268% CAGR over 5 years trading shares?

That's amateur hour, Mark Minervini claimed those numbers in just the first 7 months of 2021.

For random trivia, the surname Kullamägi is Estonian, translating to "gold mountain".
Must be why he doesn't understand the word literally. A stock can not literally yell at you. :banghead:

He's yet a bull market genius too. o_O

Roaring Kitty was up as much as 50 mil in GME..

David Ryan is supposedly up close to 1400% the last 3 years

I wouldn't bet against Kullamagie being up some insane amount in this kind of market...

There is no proof that he has made the returns that he claims to make.

Interesting to see that you seem to have made breakouts work to that extent, i have spent considerable amount of time on automating something similar but never achieved anything close to that. Out of curiosity, would you say the profitability/returns comes from your pre selection process (i assume something similar to minervini scan rt) of tradable universe, or the setup condition or the the exits ?

Thanks

I'm glad you watched my YouTube video on the Minervini scan in RealTest. I hope you enjoyed the free content. Would you like to buy my course? It's only $997. :)

In all seriousness, I've spent 1000s of hours on each individual strategy I actually run. It might take some more time. That said, I've found this style of breakout trading to be mostly a small-cap anomaly. The edge seems to break down at larger size and with larger names. For example, with big liquid Nasdaq 100/S&P 500/Russell 1000 stocks that someone would trade with a huge account, it's almost better to just hold them long-term than trade them like this. The setup condition is pretty simple and generic, similar to what Qullamaggie uses, some moving averages and a volatility contraction. But I would say my exit condition is particularly clever.

Guys, y'all do realize that Youtube is now an income stream? The more clicks, likes and subscribes they get, the faster they can then monetize. Stop feeding the monkey!

This from a guy who says
It is an extra later of communication. An added dimension of depth, if you will. At least for me.

At least it pertains to the subject. :)
