Kris Kullamagi Breakout Setups

Is KK 100% technical ?, Because I have seen charts with text included here, where some important news of the stock are mentioned too. So he also look for a news/fudamental catalyst or is he purely technical ?

From his website..Hes essentally a modified Canslim trader with a massive set of balls..

MarketSmith for EPS/revenue numbers, KoyFin for EPS/revenue estimates for the next few years.
Seeking Alpha for reading up on companies and also news/earnings reports.
TheFly for news/earnings reports.

from an interview

He also uses fundamental analysis to enhance his conviction in particular opportunities (and in turn his position size and holding-time), and he uses overall market sentiment and indexes to form his directional bias.

However its worth noting that in the interview he mentions that while using fundamental analysis in conjunction with his technical setups has dramatically improved his profitability, you can still be very profitable relying solely on a technical approach to trading.

Fundamentals are the fuel for large moves, and understanding and including them in your approach can enhance your edge – but the large moves can still be captured purely through technical approaches without employing fundamentals. Price action is price action regardless of what caused it to move.

,,,"fundamental analysis in conjunction with his technical setups has dramatically improved his profitability", now I understand his edge/alpha where it comes from. It is not only momentum driven, but on fundamental/news catalysts too. That makes much more sense.

I just wonder what are his drawdowns ? Somewhere it is said he had up to 75% max. Drawdown, is that true ? And how much drawdown he usually has or in recent years ?

Sorry that I ask again a question, but does KK also go short, or only long positions? Because whenever I see his videos, he is only long. When he goes short, it is rare, and to what extent he goes short, is he ever marketneutral here ? And for his trailing stops, is that mostly 15% trailing stop from high ?

stop whimpering - you said it exists - now show us.
The onus is on you to prove he DID'NT make 100 mil. Because there's too much proof out there that he did. Several of his chatroom members, including myself, watched him ring up huge gains on individual trades live as it happened. His Twitch stream averaged about 1800 viewers daily,I guess they're all liars as well?

Goes short too...

check his website out..very informative

He mostly just does parabolic shorts. In fact he's made some of his largest gains doing that very thing, but I've never seen him hold a short position more than 3 or 4 days. He shorted the backside move on INDO when it went parabolic on mar 7 and made about 5 mil on that trade alone. However he has mentioned 2022 has been a tough year for him overall. I think his breakout strategy has worked "spotty" at best.
