In the cold war russia had some power; now they are nothing, so they just talk.

Russia is has more political muscle than most westerners realize because our media doesnt talk about it.

The rise in the price of commodities, especially oil and natural gas, coulpled with increased demand from nations like China and India, has given Russia more influence worldwide than the US would like to admit.

Russia can create a lot of problems for US and NATO not only in Kosovo but also in Iraq, Afganistan and middle east. All this without going into a formal full scale war.
