How? They are building a pipeline through neighboring countries, Halliburton is involved, I got that part. What does it all have to do with Serbia and Kosovo when the pipeline is not built on their territory? And if Serbia was somehow a threat to the Macedonian section of the pipeline (utterly ridiculous idea), guess what, it (Serbia) is still there, madder than ever and still has a common border with Macedonia so it's not obvious how the independence of Bosnia helped. Please enlighten us.

In the piece that I copied and pasted it quotes Clinton's Energy Secretary Bill Richardson as saying:
" This is about America's energy security. It's also about preventing strategic inroads by those who don't share our values. We're trying to move these newly independent countries toward the west. We would like to see them reliant on western commercial and political interests rather than going another way."
Could this have anthing to do with Russia's Neftgas South Stream proposed gas pipeline running through Bulgaria and Serbia, or the 51% Russian buyout of Serbian NIS Oil Company?????
