Korean Kospi 200 Futures Now Available for US-based Customers...

Quote from Steve_IB:

The CFTC has recently approved the trading of Korean Kospi 200 Futures by US residents. Interactive Brokers is now making this product available to its US customers.

You can sign up via Account Management!

anyone actually able to enter a trade?

i added it to my permissions and it shows 'approved' in acct management. everything shows up fine as far as quotes, but when i go to enter a trade, it says i don't have permission?!?!?

seems IB doesn't have this worked out b4 rolling it out. besides not being able to actually trade, IB shows no commission info in the unbundled section. in fact, i was doing a 1 lot trial trade (well, trying to, anyway) to see wtf the commissions are.

Steve, Def......

Attached are Ninja Trader config screen for KOSPI futures. There are 2 tabs, one is Definition and the other one is Misc.

What is the ticker symbol in IB for KOSPI?

Is it K200? Or something else.
If something, what is that?

Thanks for advise.

I was able to get KS200 on my instrument list, Zen-Fire is my data feed, I am getting a "Ninja Trader data server does not support........" error message, anybody else able to get KOSPI data using NT/Zen-Fire?

The only broker who supports KOSPI is IB. Zen-fire is only for US and EU markets.

For US tax payer, if you trade KOSPI (symbol K200 in IB) future, do you get 60/40 (60% long term; 40% short) tax treatment as well, just like if you trade ES/NQ?

Please advise. Thanks.
