本書は、デジタルフィルターの理論をテクニカル分析に活用して、ビジネスとして成功している著者がノウハウを公開したものです。すでに著者は"Rocket Science for Traders: Digital Signal Processing Applications (Wiley Trading)"（邦訳あり「ロケット工学投資法 ― サイエンスがマーケットを打ち破る (ウィザード・ブックシリーズ) 」）を著していますが、本書のほうがこなれている感じです。

本書は著者の様々なテクニカル技法を公開したもので、対応するプログラムがEasyLanguageと呼ばれる言語で長々と書かれており、このコーディング部分を飛ばし読みすれば、比較的容易に読了することが出来ます。ＥasyLanguage 自身は、インターネット上でマニュアルもありますが、Ｒ等の手続き言語を勉強したことがあれば、コーディングの概要は検討がつきます。

語り口は平易ですが、必ずしも教科書的ではなく、著者のペースについていくことが出来ない、すなわちロジックが追いにくい所もあります（そこで星一つ減）。しかし、どのレベルの知識の人でも、テクニカル分析に関心があれば、それなりに有益な本です。テクニカル分析の悩みの一つは、タイミングが遅れてしまうことです。例えば5日移動平均であれば2.5日遅れてしまいます。この遅れ（ラグ）をいかに処理するかが本書の一つのテーマであり、大変参考になります。

私は、テクニカル分析の知識は一通りあるもののデジタルフィルターはあまり詳しくないのですが、比較的ロジックが良く分かったRVI(Relative Vigor Index)を活用して相場を楽しんでいます。

Indeed - does that mean someone translated it into Japanese? You have to wonder how that translation turned out.

I once got cornered by a fella at The Dubliner in Shinjuku. I was at the bar and he came up to me with a book full of pictures of ovens and other cooking equipment. He had to translate it all to English and asked if I'd help - because he could barely speak it.

So of course, I said no problem - just keep me fed and watered (well, Kilkenney'd) and I'll do it. I sincerely apologize to anyone that got my translations with their oven.

And apologies too - to anyone who took my post on this book as an actual recommendation. The clue is in the title.
