Ive moved the goal posts? Here is the President of the United States, telling us we will not get COVID if we get the vaccine. There's a Fauci one around, too. And a CDC director, and Kamala, and so on.

What goal posts have I moved?

As for vaccinations worked then, works now - proven vaccines? Yep, absolutely. Measles protects just about everyone who gets the shot. Polio. Same thing. Tetanus. Yep. Mumps? You got it.

COVID? Not even close.

Perhaps I had an erroneous pre-conclusion stating that you’ve moved the goalposts. I was just focusing on Fauci’s statements which I know for a fact he didn’t say “100% effective.”

Once again we have complete Covid-denier idiots on a thread pushing misinformation. At the time many politicians made statements that if you got the Covid vaccination then you would not get infected. -- it was generally a fact. These statements were made before Omicron showed up in late November of 2021.

With Delta the vaccinated breakthrough rate was a mere 0.56%. Keep in mind the vaccianted breakthrough rate with the measles vaccine is 3%. With earlier Covid variants prior Delta the mRNA vaccines used in the U.S. were nearly 100% effective at stopping infections in large scale studies -- with overall efficacies above 95%.

Well then came Omicron -- which had a high vaccinated breakthrough rate and extremely high re-infection rate. In fact having a previous case of Covid under Omicron basically provides no protection against re-infection.

Keep in mind that the clowns currently pushing misinformation based on political quotes were the same idiots on ET who argued that re-infections never happen (because of "natural immunity") and demanding someone provide examples of any reinfections. (Of course now under Omicron there are tens of thousands found each month).

Unfortunately the earlier statements made by politicians about vaccination stopping infection -- no longer hold up under Omicron. Sadly from a big picture perspective the entire problem is that Omicron was generated due to unvacinated people (who still generate over 99.6% of all variants). Similar to the seasonal flu the Covid-19 virus evolved to the point where the current vaccine was no longer effective in stopping infections -- thus similar to the flu a new version of the vaccine must be put out which is effective against the new strains. Fortunately a new Omicron specific booster is coming out this fall.

The clowns pushing the infection quotes of politicians (which were quite correct at the time they were made) to undermine Covid vaccinations are simply pushing misinformation. But after all this is their agenda. We already know that facts and science do not matter to them -- it is all about the fake narrative.

No, Fauci did not say "100% effective". Fauci actually said "If you're vaccinated, you're safe. If not, you're at risk."

He also said that vaccinated people were "dead ends" and couldn't spread the virus (also incorrect).

The problem isn't that he was wrong. The problem was that he knew he might not be right. That he knew that what he was saying was "misinformation" and that's what we're talking about here: Kompromat. Intentional, state sponsored misinformation in order to drive an outcome (in this case, higher vaccination rate).

Furthermore, what should have been a discussion or debate openly from people who believed one side or the other - the discourse should have occurred in a public forum. Instead, only one side (the side that ended up being more right than wrong) was censored, outcast, had credentials challenged and removed, and branded fools or worse.

That isn't what you do in an open society, that's what you do with a regime. Again, Kompromat.
