Maybe it's time for Republicans to take a page from the Democrats handbook and just vote party lines regardless if it's good or not for the Country

As outlined by President Kennedy in the 1960 ensuring the voting fairness and integrity of elections in all states is a federal responsibility. States need to follow guidelines established by the federal government in regards to the registration of voters and operation of elections.

So does the law spell out what is meant by" be established"? Perhaps here, what is important is what the law does not say. For example does it say be confirmed, be verified, be checked? I think it may say exactly what you say it says, "be established." And one way to establish is to have each registered voter state their name and address, because one of the definitions of "establish," in addition to certify, verify, etc., is "attest to". And that is a problem with that word "establish", because when someone states their name and address, they are attesting to their name and address being as they say it is. And they may be required to sign a statement to the effect that they are attesting.

The problem is our hopelessly obsolescent Constitution. Why should the laws be so drastically different among the States? We should do away with the entire, obsolescent concept of States Rights, and have uniform laws throughout the nation. That is, if we want to be one nation, under God, of course. If we want to be 50 nations, under God of course, well then that's different.
I disagree completely. A centralized federal government is a disaster. I think a lot of the US's greatness stems from the sovereignty of the states.
