KKD- Yummy donuts

Quote from bsparkyman:

I just got out of the donut and ice cream business. Input cost's, cog and min wage are going to create a wasteland across the food bus, fast to upscale. The only upside was the real estate. That game is over too. There will be plenty of vacant Starbuck's in about 2 years.

Thanks for the input, Sparky.

Wheat at +$8.00/bu. Used to be 3% of input to 6%, now add on 33% to min wage taking labor from 28% to + 33% if you can do more with less. Throw in eggs doubling and dairy up 25%. All of a sudden you are working much more for less. Glad to get out now. Will be lot's of opportunities to buy back in. Food pads will loose + 20%/value in the next year. Hope your are not a nnn holder. I'll be buying in about 18 months.

How are we supposed to sustain a respectable obesity epidemic without Krispy Kremes? Come on! Get with it people! Eat 'em up, load up on the stock, and buy a little BUD while you're at it. It's the American way, goddammit.

:p
