There could be thousands of possibilities.
and it could be mixture of facts, truth, half truth, half fake, pure fake or whatever.
I don’t think they would lie in this case. It will be easy to find the truth lately.
They don't necessary lie, they just don't share. He obviously had some kind of surgical procedure, probably heart related, we just don't know how serious it was and how well he is right now.
Also the possible line of succession may not be well laid down, so there could be fight for power. (let's say sister arrests the uncles before Kim's death get out)
Why didn't he say anything though? He always says something. Maybe it is a double, voice-prints are pretty accurate, they're very hard to fake.
