SEOUL -- North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony, state radio reported Saturday morning.
The Friday event marked the first time Kim's whereabouts had been publicly known since April 11 -- when he attended a Politburo meeting of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea -- and ended weeks of speculation about his well-being. Read here.

past few weeks, there were so much speculation about his well-being.

That show the world intelligence is very lacking.

And news reporters are able to make a mountain out of molehill.
 
Kim attended the event for a fertilizer plant in South Pyongan Province, in the western part of the country, state radio said. No photos were released.

I can imagine the difficulty of the CIA acquiring human assets inside of North Korea. That being said, they may have assets inside but play dumb when these sort of rumors fly around to make it appear as if they do not have any assets.
