Are you sure? I thought it was conservatives who wanted to go back to a more "glorious" time in the past. The way it was. By the very definition of the term conservative, as compared to progressive. On the other hand, progressives want to learn from the past rather than live in it. They would rather move forward than remain stunted. By definition, they choose to progress.
