Spoke to a family member who is Haitian and she actually said, Haiti has gotten to the point i needs to be invaded by somebody...

No military, no political leadership, gangs control 3/4 of the city, no police force, absolute poverty... if ever a country was screaming to be recolonized haha...
Let China pull a Cuba like the Russians did and watch us shower billions to the place

At this point --- we should simply mount up a U.S. military effort and take back the hostages by force. Haiti is completely lawless at this point and resembles Somalia.

There is a reason that one of the biggest issues in the recent presidential election in the Dominican Republic was about building a wall between themselves and Haiti. A position all the candidates supported... but argued over who would do it quicker. The wall/fence (one of the longest in the world at 234 miles) is going up very quickly.
I do think we need to pull a seal team 6/Somalian Pirates OPs. Biden could use the bump
