Why should we be involved in ANY of this?

Oil?

We spent what, $TRILLIONS on warring in Iraq... not only did we not get "dibs" on their oil, we didn't get SQUAT! We buy ours on the world open market just like everybody else. (So why DID we go to war in Iraq?)

Syria gonna be any different??

Could we BE any more stupid?

I agree... completely.
We are prosecutors wars for business people, cronies and familys self interests.

its all bullshit. its worse than bullshit because it harms civilians and soliders.

if we went to war... at least it should have been done right.

War should be a last resort, not an alternative to email.

When you go to war, your aim should be total destruction of the enemy, not a measured response. If the enemy is able to wage a resistance or insurgency afterwards, you did not use enough force.

The end result of winning a war should be the same as winning a corporate takeover battle. You seize their resources, enslave their population and bend them to your will. By this means, you get larger and stronger. The US, by contrast, has gotten smaller and weaker after each of its last three major wars, eg vietnam, iraq and afghanistan. What other reason could there be for attacking another country that has not attacked or threatened you?

If another country does attack you first, well, that is why we have a nuclear stockpile. Total annihilation.
