Kenosha Shooting was self-defense

  • Not Self-Defence
He wasn't alone. In fact, not old enough to drive nor old enough to carry a firearm.

Someone drove that teenager there and he probably got separated from a group of them.

Long rifle easily recognized and they probably chased him because they saw his baby face age and thought he wouldn't shoot or they thought he was an easy target to steal the weapon from.

In the old days, you don't chase someone that's armed with an assault rifle...usually its the other way around. Watch the video, he was surrounded / chased by others in which one hit him with what looks like a skateboard whom had attempted to pull the assault rifle away while Kyle was on the ground

Regardless, looks like those involved had no connection to the community of Kenosha unless they're the friend or relative of someone that lives there. Usually, they are the types of individuals (out of town agitators with no vested interest in the community) that will burn things down and shoot others during riots.
  • Shootings like this typically occurs with someone within a citizen militia that's untrained in urban warfare. The only training this teenager probably had was on some Call of Duty like video game.
Teenager was untrained and got himself involved in a situation after being abandon / separated by whomever took him there. Thugs in the wrong...Kyle (wannabe thug too) in the wrong.

No pity nor justification for any of them.

That's the tricky part of urban warfare...you do not know if those approaching you are on your side or a danger to you. Kyle was easily surrounded probably because he was in unfamiliar surroundings / roaming the street and those with skateboards didn't seem initially like a danger...reason why he was easily surrounded and will now spend a good portion of his life (prime years) in prison.

He should have just stayed in Antioch, Illinois to protect his own property instead of crossing state lines to look for a fight in a community he has no vested interest...that too is a thug mentality...not self-defence while out past curfew.

P.S. Green short sleeve shirt, white hat on backwards, purple latex gloves...pot belly with a lunch bag used as an ammunition pouch...hilarious.

This will be decided in a court of law and not the court of public opinion. The real thugs got shot. No sympathy for them. Maybe, other thugs would get the message to stop destroying other people's property, stop threatening other people, stop stealing other people's property. Either they will get the message or they will get shot.

Kyle and the victims are all thugs...no such thing as the real thugs. All in the wrong...those shot paid with their life or wounded.

Kyle wasted a big part of his life and as you suggested...an investigation will probably reveal others charge considering he was only 17, carrying a firearm and he crossed state lines with a firearm (illegal)...obvious because he's from Antioch, Illinois...not Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Simply, not his property in Kenosha, Wisconsin...obviously.

He went there looking for trouble and found it. He'll have plenty of time to think about it in prison.

By the way, my snowblower got stolen. Didn't go arm myself and shoot the kid a few blocks away some years back. I called the police and had him arrested. If I was living in a neighbourhood under seiged...I would arm myself and protect my property.

Yet, I'm not going to drive across state lines with an assault weapon, under age and look for a fight in a neighbourhood I'm unfamiliar with even though I may be chased by thugs armed with skateboards.

Those businesses most likely had insurance nor were the owners around. A bunch of hooligans from out of town showed up...one of them from Antioch, Illinois. Any state legal system will see that...not rocket science nor self-defense.

Thugs on both sides including Kyle...that's truly the point.

Kyle should have stayed home in Antioch, Illinois...family time with his family and let the Thugs in another state get into trouble. Now the justice system will look at him no better than the other thugs...another wasted life.

Personally, if I'm going to pick a gun battle...it will be on my own property when someone trespasses on my property.

The second shot was caused by the attacker.

He grabbed the sling of the rifle which pulled the muzzle into his mid-section and pulled the trigger against Kyle's finger in the trigger loop causing the weapon to discharge.

That dude shot himself and was one of the attackers that died.

Never grab the sling. Not a lot of veterans among the rioters I guess.

Unfortunately, if someone points a gun at you and you reach out to grab that gun and it then "shoots" you...the person holding the gun is still charged with the shooting.

Heck, had Kyle been holding a BB gun and police shot Kyle...its would be a justifiable shooting even if Kyle was walking away.

Kyle should have just stayed home in Illinois, do homework, watch TV or play video games. He most likely will get some serious prison time after killing his skateboard attacker.

Still stupidity upon to skateboard attacker.

Attacker: I think I can hit him with my skateboard before he can pull the trigger on his assault rifle. If that doesn't work...I'll just grab the sling of the assault rifle with Kyle's finger still on the trigger. :D

I think they saw some teenager with a baby face and decided they were going to steal his assault rifle when they try to chase him down.

Statistically, bring a gun to a riot or battle...the gun gets used. It does not de-escalate. Kyle is very lucky those with the skateboards were not from the area too. If they were, they would have just quickly gone home and came back with their own guns instead of skateboards.

My personal belief is that he was overcharged to placate the masses and will be acquitted based upon clear self-defense. His family is getting massive financial support so it looks like there is a defense fund.

I did notice that there was no riot in Kenosha last night. He seems to have gotten the job done.

He was 17 years old...not legally able to carry a firearm and he most likely crossed state lines with that firearm. Worst, he's from Illinois and wasn't defending his own property in Wisconsin.

He's looking at least a minimum of 10 - 30 years in prison...more if he's associated with any hate groups.

Had he been there without the weapon (an assault weapon) and killed someone with his bared hands in self-defence...no jail time.

Illinois is tough on people that cross state lines with assault weapons and kill people.

He'll be extradited soon back to Illinois...things will get very hairy for him in the legal system once the state of Illinois gets their hands on him. In comparison, had he been a legal resident of Wisconsin...maybe juvy for awhile and a few years at an adult prison.

Look mom...I shot dead the guy that threaten me with his skateboard while we all were out after mandatory curfew. In another state with my "assault rifle".

:D

Misdemeanor. It's still self-defense regardless if he was carrying illegally. He wasn't associated with any hate groups, the three males that were shot however were.
There are high resolution still images coming out now. The guy who had his bicep blown into low Earth orbit was pointing a loaded Glock at Kyle the moment he was shot.

Clear unobfuscated self-defense. Kyle preserved his life. Now the rest will get sorted out.

It was, in my view, inevitable that this would happen. If it wasn't Kyle it was going to be somebody else. The amazing part is that it took 3 months to happen.

Well, since he was arrested, it's currently not self defense.

I won't go into what is and isn't relevant in this post; but I encourage you to do some research on your own if you think their memberships matter as to whether it was justified or not.

I was responding to wrb since he mentioned hate groups first. I don't think it matters.
