Kennedy Leaving SCOTUS

1. or maybe the States part of the United States.

2. you know like California nullifying pot laws.

3. or maybe realize that abortion was not a power specifically enumerated to the Federal Govt.

Well, maybe if we were 50 different countries instead of one.

Mistake or no mistake, I have gone ahead and counted a minimum of two appointments and confirmations during his first term. Not a chance that I will be changing that statement or view. Hint, most viewers are thinking that that is not exactly the most ballsy prediction that one could make. Also known as a done deal.

Also, as explained extensively yesterday, he may walk down through one or more who are not confirmed but that goes with the turf and that is neither here nor there in the long run nor does it change the long term outcome which I stated: Minimum of two for the first term. Could be more. We dont know which chicken it will be this time around, but there will be another chicken. Go ahead and put down for "making the mistake" of counting on that. You ilk needs to get do your histrionic, estrogen-driven dance for each nominee, and that is already baked into the process.

If you need to pull into a lotus position and contemplate whether there will be another appointment and confirmation in this term, then go for it. Maybe after 2020, President Waters will nominate someone more to your liking.

This is a very low probability delay tactic; however, it is possible. It happened at the state level.

Article I, section 5 of the Constitution requires that a quorum (51 senators) be present for the Senate to conduct business. Often, fewer than 51 senators are present on the floor, but the Senate presumes a quorum unless a roll call vote or quorum call suggests otherwise.

All true, but lets look at it from the viewpoint of "alternative facts"; e.g., the "United" part of the United States,
and realize that pot law is not a power specifically enumerated to the Federal govt.

I would like to see them do that but I doubt that we would get that lucky.

It is an okay tactic for the lefty senators in lefty loon states- but for the ten dem senators up for reelection in states that trump won- then it is a suicide mission when it comes to the election that will follow shortly after the nomination process.

Keep in mind that some of those dems- Joe Manchin being Exhibit A- are running around saying that they have consistently supported Trump even though they are dems so you can still vote for them and get Trump's agenda. So they are going to no-show with the other dems on the day the confirmation vote is held to prevent getting a quorum? Such that when election day comes the record shows that they no-showed on a day when Trump needed them the most???

GOOD LUCK WIT DAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
