Best line was, a comedian who commented he went to JFK High, where all they did was drink, do drugs, and womanize. He said they should have called it Ted Kennedy High.

Now, we're gonna change the law of succession in Massachusetts that Teddy wanted when Kerry ran for President with Governor Romney. Since Patrick can appoint, Teddy wanted it reversed.

There is a march on Washington on 9/12. Glenn Beck lost his advertisers, but got 3 mm viewers. Somebody is going to die. This is going to turn very violent. People feel disinfranchised - again. This time, they know there is no answer in DC but bad ones.

It comes as no surprise that the radical left sees no problem with this appointment. It was only a problem when a Republican was the governor. Now it's perfectly reasonable for the Dem governor to appoint someone to an elected office.
Surely some leftist loon will point out some similar situation that happened with a Repub. That's not the issue. The reaction, or lack of it in this case is the issue. Something happens with a Repub and it's OMFG, we can't have this. It's an outrage! Dem does the same thing, and it's laughed off as politics as usual. This is the hypocrisy of the left and their media mouthpieces.
You are correct in stating this will end badly at some point. The oppressive nature of 21st century liberalism cannot stand. Whatever the Dem party once was is gone and has been replaced with the fascists now known as "progressives".

Here's something. Has anyone, anywhere, ever seen a quote from the Koepechnes? You'd think, maybe in 1980 or so, Gramps would have gotten a little liquored up at Thanksgiving and spilled the beans, and a second cousin once removed would have said something. Must have been a huge wad of cash with more clauses than the North pole.

And don't tell me JFK was a hero. He broke standing regulation not to shut down engines in a combat zone. He disobeyed that order, and couldn't dodge that destoyer. Mac wanted to court marshall. Bootlegger Joe got him a medal instead. So, Joe, wanted to be President, and Jack being decorated, volunteered for one of the more stupid missions in Military History, and that's a large book. There wasn't enough of him left to wet a dishrag. I'll point out that the "Fighting Sullivans", five lower middle class Irish working stiffs, whose Father had an honest job, all died on the same ship.

I have a friend who had airborne training, and was shipped to Vietnam. I can't imagine the consternation of sitting in a hanger in Ft. Bragg, awaiting orders with that meatgrinder going on. He said, "They'd call 20 - 25 names, and say , "People's Republic of Vietnam". The next guy would be called, "Pentagon". He said, "that was a Senator's son. The people that enabled that cluster fuck didn't want to send their kids.

I'm a realist. This shit happens, and might for a while longer. Then again, it might not. But don't rub my nose in it, and tell me it's pudding.

I am privileged to receive care from the wonderful people at the VA. As it says on the gate, "The Cost of Freedom is Visible Here Everyday". You'll see guys in their eighties with baseball caps adorned with their decorations in miniature. Guys cut up by IED's. Poor crazy bastards in their 20's and 30's who just plain cracked. They give up so much, and Ted Kennedy is buried in Arlington.

Here's to the day we all drink the same water. ALL of us. It's coming. the next three years are hell on earth.

You are one of the dumbest fools there is. FYI, Ted Kennedy voted AGAINST the Iraq war, so if everyone else voted like him there would be no guys cut up by IEDs. That is just a thought.

Everyone knows that kennedy name is one of privilige but each brother actually did something positive for the less fortunate.
It would not be the first or the last time political connections kept people out of certain wars W would be the most profound example, yet enough morons think of him as a tough guy and a good C-in-C.

The whole Kennedy death thingy was a yawner for the TV viewing crowd from what I read somewhere.. it didn't get many eyeballs on the networks...
 
As I have watched the tributes to the late Senator a common phrase is used while describing his life...he wasn't perfect. One could argue that's a tad bit of an understatement. While he did some good things and had quite a record of public service, some of his "less than perfect" indiscretions caused great harm.
I'm curious as to whether those on the left would be so quick to give a pass to others as they have to their favorite son.
The senator was a catholic, a religion not without it's own "less that perfect" history. I'd guess most of those child molesting priests did some good things for their community, comforted many people throughout the years, all while doing some serious damage to their fellow human beings. Do they get the same pass those of you on the left have given to Teddy? How's about all those Repub politicians you have crucified for their "less than perfect" indiscretions?
