It is a fact that Mohammed's favorite wife- Aisha- was only nine. This was probably the beginning of the provision in Sharia Law that apparently says "if she is old enough to pee, she is old enough for thee." Still widely practiced.
If this is true, why does Australia want the USA to take refugees that they won't?
Initially I was puzzled about why too. I haven't learned anything official, perhaps I missed the news about its underlying reason.
My guess for now is I think it might be a good strategy so that every country using this kind of cooperation and allocation arrangement has the sovereign right to decide who would be the asylums they allow to stay, rather than the asylums own the right to select which countries the want to stay.
That could be also a good excuse for delaying the settlement process/progress by the government.
Besides, the asylums might choose some other countries alternatively as easier targets, rather than targeting merely Australia, at least for a period of time.
Purely my speculation above. Just 2 cents.
That's up there w/one of the most stupid things I've ever read.
It is easy to have a feel-good ad campaign, when you don't actually follow it.

I dont see a lot of aborigines in that propaganda poster. The australian government treated them and still treats them like dirt but it works 24/7 to make sure that new arrival highly demanding and threatening muslims get their services and compensation and that every need and squeaky wheel they have gets addressed. That's not right.
