40 years ago this might have been accurate. The ABA however compromised its credibility and influence by becoming overtly political. They have essentially zero influence now in judicial confirmations. A relatively small percentage of lawyers even belong to this once prestigious group.

The ABA, the AMA, the fbi, the DOJ, the New York Times, universities everywhere, cnn, etc etc etc every institution that doesn’t swallow or promote right wing bullshit has no credibility with the right wingers. I’m so surprised...
