Just out of curiousity, do you really believe dems will "run the guantlet" till 2020 and take the senate in 2018......... I am making a bet, you are not..... whats your choice? I say unequivocally that republicans will hold the senate and confirm a judge before 2020. Whats your call?

They will have at least one dem vote, Joe Manchin/sp and most likely more than one. Chances of getting a yes vote from Collins are good, or at least 50/50. Murkowski is unreliable. Flake is us also unreliable and he hates trump and wants to even the score with him but for some reason I think he will vote for Kavanaugh. No logic to go with the gut feeling though.
Kavanaugh still has a good chance of being confirmed. It is not a great chance, but it is at least good.

I know its hard for you to separate and compartmentalize statements and facts but that response was to your comrade who is suggesting folks commit suicide cause they won't agree with his BS.

I am not there yet. I do concede though that he is on a heart-lung machine, but he is not beyond having a born again experience. Of course seeing Lindsey Graham actually do something useful for the first time in thirty years is probably causing me to believe in miracles.
There are atleast 10 Senate seats of the Democrats they can lose in the coming midterm elections. While, I do not expect all 10 to vote to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh, I believe more than a couple will vote to confirm him because they know they are at risk of losing their seats and voting against Judge Brett Kavanaugh just to appease fellow Democrats will result in them definitely, losing those seats! They are not stupid! The huge outrage by the public over the Democrats antics in this hearing will also, be one more reason for them to vote to confirm him!
Don't be ridiculous. All that happy horseshit talk about an FBI investigation is just an attempt by the democrats to drag it out to give them more time to find more fake accusers as the first rounds of fake accusers don't hold up. And as always, to get them to the midterm elections.
Yup. Its a fluid situation. More than a couple will vote for him now but earlier today when they thought the accuser was looking good it was less likely. Heidi Heitcamp is likely to go with Kavanaugh now too.
