Apples and oranges. The vote is Thursday. Feinstein has been sitting on this "story" for months, probably longer. The woman in question has been sitting on this for decades. Produce evidence. Produce credible witnesses. Produce them now. They can't, they won't. He will be confirmed, they know this and don't care because denying his confirmation is not the objective.
This isn't about some alleged crime, it's another political hit job. It's about damaging his credibility so the radical left can get on the campaign trail and say see, republicans hate women. It's all about the votes, and pandering to the idiot base which eats this spoon fed shit likes it's their last meal.

What kind of person sits on a story like this? A political hack, that's who. A woman comes to you and says, hey, that guy tried to rape me. You do some checking and find her credible. Then what? An honest person wants to see justice done. A political hack knows that this story has no legal value, but as a political weapon, it's golden.
So Feinstein being a hack in long standing who doesn't give two shits about justice sits on this for months until the timing is right. Damage done, mission accomplished. Now the left has some more kool-aid for the unwashed masses to slurp down on the campaign trail. Business as usual in the sewer known as Washington D.C.
