Well, greed as potential reason is at least a better explainer than you saying in summary "I have no idea wtf is going on".
Don't project your utter cluelessness onto others, please. It's obvious that complexity results in total incomprehension in your (putative) mind, but that's not the case for everyone; some of us are quite comfortable with concepts larger than "fight it, eat it, flee it, or fuck it" which you appear to be confined to.

Oh, your inability to stop crawling after me while desperately trying to come up with something even mildly insulting is very much about me - to you. Not getting enough attention or validation at home, are you? Any degree of it - even revulsion - is sweeter to you than its absence? That's pretty serious damage there.
