Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

Quote from Wallet:

Nobody said the last 8 years were good, but in all fairness it's been along time since a President has had to deal with the problems that the current administration has been dealt. (Everyone has their own opinion on the war, dont want to let that rabbit out of the bag).

But the last 8 years are over, we will vote in a New President.

Dont bash the other guy, tell me why Obama is qualified to be President.
Because he isn't part of a partisan group that wants to continuing robbin from the middle class to give to the rich ... get it?! :D

Obama vs. McCain = Obama wins by TKO

but

Biden vs. Palin = Biden absolutely massacres her ... anyone taking bets to see whether she starts crying or not?

You must know this already since you are so smart, but Obama turned down nearly a dozen (?#) town hall style meetings with McCain. Why do you suppose Obama declined? Where was/is the outcry from the liberal new/press with that?

I think Palin will hold her own, and I think you resent that!

Quote from MandelbrotSet:

LOL, he ran like a little girl ...

Ok.... If thats what you want to see from this than I'll ask it this way...

If I challenge you to chess match repeatedly and you decline. Than all of a sudden we agree to set a date to have this match and a crisis develops within my family.

WHY SHOULD I GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOU AND THE CHESS MATCH?
You had your chance, but ran away like a little girl!

Now we'll play chess when I am ready!

Quote from mxjones:

My God she is scary bad. Now wonder they don't want her talking to anyone.

I think you just summed up this disgrace of a pick by McCain for the second most powerful office in the World! I used to like Mccain. His selection of Palin turned me off to him! He is too old and too old-fashioned to lead this Country in the 21st century.

I used to like'em too ... and I couldn't agree with you more.

An old geezer and a bimbo for President of the United States of America!

“I presume he did that in good faith,” Clinton said on Good Morning America, recalling that McCain had “asked for more debates to go all around the country.”

“I don't think we ought to overly parse that. Just let's deal with this issue,” the former president said. “We know he didn't do it because he's afraid, because Senator McCain wanted more debates.”

How is Obama going to scare McCain? By saying "you voted for Iraq just like Joe Biden"? Obama's a big boy. Did HE try to pass tougher regulations? Has Obama ever tried to stop funding for Iraq on the Senate floor? What's Obama going to do? Attack McCain's record when Obama has ZERO record? Obama is long on talk but very short on action.

Quote from Wallet:

Let me see..........

Mr Lee Pickard, an ex-sec official, I'm guessing (jr.official) blows the whistle on the whole mess in the NY Sun........ what else do you expect ............ my guess there's a big "D" next to his name in the voting box.

Everyone wants a scapegoat, the majority would love to pin this on the current administration but the problems go way deeper that a SEC regulation change. YOu need to look into the political and financial manipulation of Fanny and Freddie, corrupt lenders and dont forget about all the people who took out the loans gambling on future interest rates and increased equity. The blame is as much on the consumer as congress or any law.

what else......

Gov. Palin has (last time I heard) a 70% approval rating in her state. 70% of people up ther must be fools according to this thread.

And no one has answered the question, Why is Obama qualified to be President. Everyone just keeps bashing McCain and Palin.

You ever been to Alaska, my friend. More than 70% are fools. There are some really smart people up there, too, but, unfortunately, they're the minority.

That's right. And if you need spelled out for you, take it from an someone who's voted both Republican and Democrat.

The the difference between the rich and the poor is at all time high in this country. Not seen the 20s.

If you'd take your partisan blinders off, you'd see that there are similarities between Reagan and Obama. Both are (were ) smart, charistmatic men, who are thoughtful, smart and come from humble beginnings. They rose to the highest office in the land not by blind ideology, but by solving problems, not by stealing and being bribed, but by working within the system without looking for outrageous personal gain.

You want to vote for McCain. Go ahead. He played the system to the tune of thirteen houses and millions of dollars. The guy was part of the Keating Five for God's sake.

I'm not saying Obama is the savior. I'm just saying this guy was still paying off his student loans a few years ago and chose to work in the worst part of Chicago to actually do some good. I

f you listen to him and think he's not as qualified as John McCain, that's your decision. But McCain looks to me like he's panicky, jittery and unstable. And the Palin is a reflection of that. That sealed it for me. The guy has lost it.

And, if you know any military families, or actually personally knew anyone who died in Iraq, you'd see the overwhelming support of the military for Obama. Everyone from the enlisted men to the generals want these thugs out of office. Unfortunately, McCain has chosen to surround himself with those same thugs.
