Kamala Harris went to Howard University and is a member of AKA. That doesn’t sound like someone who is hiding or ashamed of being black.

I have several mixed race friends, one has an Irish mother, father who is half Indian half British Guyana. They identify (I hate that word but) with whichever family they are with or whatever group they are with because they are a part of and understand all their ethnicities.
I'm very very white but I'm part long lineage white American, Irish, English and Danish. I hold three passports. Fine for me to give my experience and understanding from any of those cultural perspectives but if I happened to be the wrong shade for any of them I'm fake?

Unfortunately the powers that be want to make race an issue in this election. It worked for the DNC with Obama, give credit where it’s due, Obama has charisma. But Harris is no Obama and Biden has the charisma of a tree stump.
Harris was chosen as the“moderate” * cough, cough* of the female choices and to portray the Black element needed to fulfill their race card.
On problem Harris is not Black, as in African American, she’s East Indian and Jamaican descent. This will play out like Warren and her imagined Cherokee roots.

Warren's roots are real, it's in the DNA test. She can only know the lineage passed to her in her family lore and it's perfectly possible just as today her great great great who everyone thought was Indian was himself already just a quarter blood.
How long have your family been in America? Do you have deep roots? We have a family tree on my moms side going back to the 1660s. It's really really complicated compared to the European side.
Identity is hard to pin down to this or that.

So we’ve entered the phase of the election where Republicans tell black people they’re not black or American. This is usually a good sign for democrats, historically.

Harris isn’t Black. Is she a “person of color”, yes. But for her, or others to identify her as a Black person who identifies with today’s current narrative of systemic racism, that’s a false narrative and manufactured.
Edit, in an earlier reply I was asked about putting myself in another’s shoes, so......when viewing Harris through liberal colored glasses, i guess it’s all about how one identifies and not based on actual fact.
