Same here, I favor decriminalization for financial reasons and the fact I find myself being more and more libertarian. I think Republicans left me as they started favoring big govt and spending on things like Medicare Part D rather than letting americans by the same prescription drugs in mexico.

Of course they should legalize drugs, lower the prison rate, save zillion $$ on the drug war. But then the big pharm companies wouldn't be happy.
Look everyone, I hate partisan politics, but admit I'm a social liberal. I don't want gov't in my bedroom, or telling me about God. I don't want gov't telling women what to do about sex or lack thereof. We should come together on the things we agree about instead of just fighting because we have to based on Obama or Romney or whatever.

But you don't have a problem with government telling us what kind of light bulb to use, how to flush our toilets, what to eat or what kind of health insurance we can buy.
You don't want government telling you about God but you are all for government indoctrinating our kids in school that gay sex is normal and healthy and that anyone who disputes AGW is the equivalent of a war criminal.
In other words, you would like us to surrender on the things we believe in but compromise on the stuff you want.

Our society over the last thirty years has become top-heavy with wealth and power. We don't want our government to become even more of a plutocracy than it already is. It should be one person one vote not one dollar one vote. Corporations are NOT people.
