It's been a lot of years since political science class but if my memory is correct the law is officially constitutional now. And there is no appeal except for an amendment to the constitution. And if my memory is fading I stand corrected.

Roberts is making very clear that any method of raising revenue done by Congress should be defined as a "Tax". In a broad sense this is true.
If the public can understand this, it might lead the way to controlling spending.
Governments everywhere are less effective in raising revenue with straightforward tax increases so they hide these through fees, mandates, bonds sales and other stealth methods.

Victory for the Tea Party.

I believe there is a 30-day period appeal process, although it's limited.

I read you can get a rehearing with 25 days, too.

Or, bring up a new case to seek to overturn the ruling.

I didn't know about this or the effects. I think if romney is elected, it is obvious that Roberts should be encouraged to resign. He seems like a decent man and it is wrong to leave him in a position where he embarrasses himself like this.
