Justice Kavanaugh confirmed

You don't think I want to engage in good faith?

Look, you make blanket statements about how this Congress and administration is the worst (fiscally speaking) ever but you don't want to give examples. And it's me that doesn't want to engage in good faith?

I can't google your opinion. I can only ask you to provide facts (the key to any good debate) and then refute or confirm those facts.

I see. So trump and republicans didn’t increase the deficit by about ~40% with unfounded tax cuts during a period of economic growth. This is my opinion?

So the deficit matters NOW? Can you point me to your posts from 2009-16 which addressed this?

Deficit spending during periods of economic contraction are necessary. This is not the dark ages. We have the appropriate remedies to soften the impact on the population during business cycle down turns.

Not only did the federal government expand its deficits in those years, many large businesses took on massive debt to see their businesses through.

I always find it to be amazing when people are dumbfounded at increased deficits during recessions. Do you really think we should have just allowed ourselves to be plunged into a depression?

Tell me how many of the years between 2009-16 were in recession.

Why does everyone just blame Trump without regard to those who voted for said spending bills. There were plenty of Democrats porking out their districts and states that share the blame. Both sides of the aisle were responsible for the latest Omnibus/Porkulus budget breaker.

That’s one of those facts you can easily find on your own. Don’t bore me, make your point.

No, I find these questions are open to political interpretation. Many of Obama's supporters believed his statements about the "strength" of the economy.

And don't bore me with these hackneyed Keynesian theories.

The bigger and better question is why does anyone think that there is a difference between the political parties and their proclivity to spend and/or increase the deficit.

I just want to hear if UsualName is going to make this a partisan issue.

I do not find questions of fact open to interpretation. As far as Keynes, his basic theory has held up to the test of time.
