Just saved $14,000. in taxes (2020)...File that return baby!!

In the 1990s ExxonMobile was the biggest company in the world. They had so much money they didn’t know what to do with it. Do you know what they did? They lobbied Congress for more tax breaks and energy subsidies and the got them too.

Americans need to start treating themselves like a company and stop cutting themselves short for no other reason than ideology. Trust me on this, the Uber wealthy and huge corporations don’t give a flying duck about any of us and are looking to squeeze every last dime they can from this country.

So I say congratulations to the poster here who 1. Got a subsidized health plan and 2. Took advantage of the tax code because he isn’t stupid. These other guys saying shame on you blah blah blah are the problem. Be smart and do whatever is in your best interest.
damn, I felt that

As a matter of fact, that was some very smart financial moves he made and he improved his personal financial position in doing so. These other guys saying shame on you blah blah blah are the problem. LOL! Government needs to disappear and have everything ran privately

If every aspect of government was a private business there would be an incentive to get things right

Now we just have losers like you that think they're getting it wrong because they dont have enough money, SAD!

I love this. If these right wingers were as hard on Walmart and Amazon as they are on the regular guy reaping a tax advantage there would be no need for handouts in the first place.

Nah they are just pissed that they can't use those tax breaks. If they do, they will be using them more than the OP. I find that the more staunchly somebody condemns something, the more secretly they want it and if given the chance, they would grab it faster and better than anyone. :) Yup human nature is amazing.

The problem is that guys like him want more taxes, then they turn around and take government handouts at every possible chance they get without hesitation

They believe in high taxes. But not if they have to pay them. Rules for thee and not for me

Your whole premise is stupid. Tax deductions, exemptions, and programs are designed to encourage certain types of business and activities like having children. They aren't "handouts". Why on earth would anyone not maximize their tax situation to appease some dumb asses on the internet ?

And what is this "they believe in high taxes" ? Is that code for they believe in paying their bills and not passing them on to future generations ? The US has the largest deficits in history and the largest debt to GDP since I think roughly WW2. A country like Canada that some of you think is "socialist" or "left" in nature now has lower federal debt to GDP then the US. We basically switched from 30 years ago.

Check my past posts on taxation. Don't put me into the same basket. I advocate to tax corporations on any and all income worldwide. Not 15 or 20% but a top 30 or 35% corporate tax rate.

"All private" is a disaster it's been proven so many times. "All private" means corporations are left to their own devices and some do things like : polluting the earth, obscenely enriching their executives out of company coffers, taking undue risks because they think taxpayers will bail them out if they fail, declaring bankruptcy when they fail basically welching on their debts, failing to pay a fair wage, ... .

And don't forget making up numbers for their financial numbers that defrauded investors.

Damn right. We treat inanimate objects with more reverence than actual working people in America.
