Just heard this on Rush.......This will damage the Pubs

I busted my ass my entire life to get to where i am today, i postponed weekends, vacations, days off while i worked 12 hour days to put myself through school with no debt, and to figure out the market, so that i could have the things i wanted in life.

Why dont you set a number for me, how much, and how many gas station jockeys or burger flippers who decided not to work as hard as me should i be subsidising? I really want to know what amount i can earn which is acceptable to you.

Also please explain what would have motivated me to bust my ass while the guy at the gas pump slacks off and calls in sick everyday and makes the same as me.

In other words, workers have very little in the way of rights in those places, just like you like it. Which is why no one is looking to get into those places.

And I didn't say anything about NAFTA in my post. I said a lot about China. The only mention of Mexico was that I don't want to replicate their class structure here. If you get your way, that's the class structure we'll get though.
You're so busy crying about what you have to pay that you're missing the point: you pay that so you don't have to pay for armed guards and dogs and armored cars just to even begin to keep what you have, which is what you would have to do in a place like Mexico.
It's a lot more expensive, and a lot less safe.
It's a lot less fun being rich in Mexico.
 
Yes and in a fair, flat tax regime the people who bennefit the most WOULD pay the most. Unfortunately now we have punitive taxes which discourage achievement, stiffle innovation, and decrease the overall size of the pie. When people are able to keep more of what they earn, they strive to earn more. Unequal, punitive taxation punishes everyone, but especially the most successful...

Interesting that you say that, cause I know dozens personally that do.

They are hounding their employer for their W2. Why?

It's it's a little thing called earned income credit. It's what they get for lying on their backs and making babies they cannot afford. Some people can get 4-5K "back" from the government.

So, trefoil, the entitlement class actually do get "something for nothing". They get much more out than they put in.
