Just goes to show, bailout won't help

Why is the market crashing?

It's because congress and the president had a weekend deadline
to get the bailout signed into law -- not a next week deadline.

Talk about tempting fate..

Once the law is passed, the markets will turn around.
But, until this happens, the markets will remain in free fall
mode.
 
Exactly. All the political bullshit got in the way and slowed this thing down. Saying it's done, only means it's on paper. No votes, no good.

House should vote today and even Palosi said last night she couldn't be certain it would pass. If they do vote today and it passes, the Senate may not vote until Wednesday. It's come up, and it may be part of the reason, but religious holidays seem to be getting put first. It should have been voted on and done by this AM.
