Just as I said. China is going to win the trade war

Chinese people are the real winners if the trade deal is done. They are the real losers in this trade war.
...
If you don't believe me, just look at US inflation compare to Chinese inflation. The Chinese people have been complaining about rising prices for some time now.
Yes some time. Before tariffs were put in place. High growth rates do that, ya know.

Basic ECO 101 says both countries always suffer in a tariff war (just like a military one). Hairsplitting can determine which suffers "more".

American farmers suicides and bankruptcies are highest in a long time is one result this country is feeling.

Yes, It's a recession when your neighbor loses his job; it's a depression when you lose yours.

I can always find a subset that suffers in any conflict.

Overall, the US economy and consumers are doing well, even with this trade war. Can they be better without the trade war, of course.

The Chinese economy is slowing down, food prices are rising, they depreciated their currency to keep their exports moving, is it due to the trade dispute, perhaps, can they do better without the dispute, of course.

I think Trump found the right time to start a trade war to change the IP and tech transfer landscape. Any other time the US economy would likely goes into recession.

Agreed, a measurable accomplishment. As much as we'd like to think that this could have been done in a friendly way, working thru official channels like the WTO ...... clearly this would never have been accomplished with that kind of approach.

Agree however should have been done since day 1 of getting in office to give him breathing room from the next election. China falling apart fast, however 2020 election is as well...

KEY POINTS
  • China has been reluctant to commit to an amount of agriculture products it’s willing to buy, while big numbers are floating from Washington.
  • Beijing has also been quiet about tariffs on U.S. goods as well as an enforcement mechanism.
  • “There remains more questions than answers,” said Chris Krueger, Washington strategist at Cowen. It’s “more trade truce than deal.”
  • “Uncertainty persists about the actual volumes of Chinese soybean, grain and pork purchases, with details on firm commitments lacking and likely to be worked out and also ‘phased in’ over a few years,” said Cesar Rojas, global economist at Citi.

Yes, but the White house was way to toxic at that time. I'm sure he was way too busy looking over his shoulder, he didn't want to end up like Julius Caesar.

Rough Rice futures hit above 13. Oil and metals are stable. FX markets are maintaining course and the street could care less about today's impeachment nonsense. China could care less about winning or losing just keep the 1.3+ trillion people working.

1.3 trillion people? That's quite a lot. You quoting Corsucant's population or something?
