Just as I said. China is going to win the trade war

There will be no trade deal, it will go on for another 30 years. Forget about trade deal news. This is GOOD for both sides, it means they can move on. I would hope that Trump is smart enough to have recognized this.

1. Listen to Dalio carefully, he correctly surmises that there will be NO agreement because the two approaches are so different.
2. The result then is two world powers - Chinese power will be spread through the use of debt. See silk road initiative, Africa. Any allies that Trump has "alienated" may also switch over to China, but I doubt it. Chinese don't see true allies, they see subservient minions. Perhaps Russia would be an ally, but even Russia looks at China and goes dude wtf sometimes.

There may be some sense in dealing with China but even that seems to be a very inefficient process with the bottom line being your economy is taking a serious hit because of it.

I suppose as a Canadian I should just note it's a net win for us overall we are gaining talent and businesses in Toronto and moving away from our dependence federally on resource sectors. The energy weight on the TSX has gone down a ton.

Yep, threatening alright. First I thought that they had made negotiations some weeks back so why the threat of these higher tariffs if china doesn't make a trade deal, according to all these headlines the deal was done. But of course we all know that was just lies and the trade war is still blossoming....just to think of where the markets will turn once they hike those tariffs up or is trump bluffing. China already won this trade war, this nonsense back and forth is just to move markets. Trump want zero interest rates and he will get them by continuing this trade war. Just to let everyone know if the dow was nearing 20,000, yes 20,000, not 30,000, trump would already have his zero interest rates.

This is completely played out. Phase 1 was a go a few weeks ago when everything was announced that there was a deal.

From this point on every time they say there is a deal or a deal is coming close it's nothing but lies. The market keeps trading off this news as if it's a surprise. Its No longer a surprise. There is no deal and will not be deal, this will continue into the election.

Looks like those tariffs are going up in December, oh wait trump wont have the courage to do it. Too afraid it might ruin the Christmas spirit and all the lame pathetic consumer gift buying.
