Actually, the country is not broke. Our debt is mostly to ourselves and its servicing is entirely manageable, for now. Currency seems scarce, but it's really not, it's just "accumulated" in some fairly useless places (there's so much of it that some cry, "inflation is coming! inflation is coming!). Of course, when you have to have a balanced budget, like so many of the states (all?) do, then a currency "maldistribution" is problematic indeed. Perhaps your city has a local currency you could start earning? Admittedly, not an easy transition, I'm sure.

chicago seems pretty segregated to me. couple that with how large the city is and you can easily avoid high homicide areas. Although robbery is everywhere.

County, not country. Not to worry though as the mayor has a plan. In addition to his brainstorm making the city a haven for illegals, he is now appealing to the "values" of the gang members. VALUES! Mr . Mayor, if they had any f'n values they wouldn't be doing what they're doing in the first place. How does someone this naive get to run a city?

I don't know much about those areas, just been close to the lake from the loop up to evanston.

West of the loop is gangland. Basically south, southwest and west is almost 100% black and Latino once your outside the loop. The loop straight north is almost 100% white from the river up to wrigleyville. North of Wrigley it's sketchy again all the way to Evanston.
