Just a flu bro...literally

The simple solution could be to create billions of 5-minute home tests to give to hot spot areas to stop contagion and then narrow down to smaller and smaller hot spots until we eradicate this. Meaning each of us would have to do the test early in the morning once a week for several weeks/months. We could literally get rid of this problem in a matter of months if we had this type of tests available nationwide.

Does anyone know how much do these test cost?

Internationally, that is a lot more difficult, but doable too.

It's either this or possibly a never ending -putting out fires- daily mask wearing- close and open semi-quarantine situation that can happen everywhere-anywhere-anytime for years.
 
A better solution is everyone who wants to lock themselves in their closet, can.

The rest of us can go back to work and living life.

Those that are vulnerable, are safe at home, awaiting their BillGates Nanotech tattoo.

In North Carolina, only three counties have adequate contact tracing in place. One of these counties is Durham (near me) because they had their entire contact tracing team still left in place from the 2017 TB outbreak centered around Northern High School which sadly showed up again in February 2020.

The combination of a relatively low number of COVID-19 cases in Durham combined with the existing contract tracing allowed them to be 1 of 3 counties in our state which fully traced every case of COVID-19. The other two counties are in rural areas and barely had any cases at all -- but also had dealt with the outbreak of other diseases in the past few years.

Then some states will see their economies return, others will see theirs crater and take a long, long time to recover. Assuming their populations don't revolt and oust the governors before then.

That's unrealistic and doesn't solve the problem.

This virus is at least 10 times more deadly than the flu - the first time that it strikes.(We don't even know if this virus can, or how, it can flare up later in asymptomatic people)

Where we are right now we got an additional 250K to 600K deaths in the US / 6+ million worldwide.

But even if we accepted that number as a cost of doing business, we don't know if people can get re-infected if exposed to a high enough concentration of the virus or if exposed several times in a short period of time. We don't know if this virus will mutate ad-infinitum. This isn't like the flu, this is man made straight from the WIV.

My proposed solution would solve all these problems, and is permanent.
