Just a flu bro...literally

Really its not, do you actually know?

But hey, I did put cinnamon on my eggs and fried toast instead of pepper this morning.

Anyone can tell a middle aged spice eater who took mushrooms on Saturday night what e# is a measure of?

E# is a half tone otherwise known as F. No, I didn't google it. Worked my way through school playing trumpet in various jazz bands
. If Chet Baker did it or Dizzy Gillespie was doing it I was doing it.

Here is a new study. If this study is accurate, this study would once again demonstrate that the fatality rate is a fraction of the estimate by WHO.

https://news.usc.edu/168987/antibody-testing-results-covid-19-infections-los-angeles-county/

USC and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health on Monday released preliminary results from a collaborative scientific study that suggests infections from the new coronavirus are far more widespread — and the fatality rate much lower — in L.A. County than previously thought.

The results are from the first round of an ongoing study by USC researchers and county health officials. They will be conducting antibody testing over time on a series of representative samples of adults to determine the scope and spread of the pandemic across the county.

Based on the results of the first round of testing, the research team estimates that approximately 4.1% of the county’s adult population has an antibody to the virus. Adjusting this estimate for the statistical margin of error implies about 2.8% to 5.6% of the county’s adult population has an antibody to the virus — which translates to approximately 221,000 to 442,000 adults in the county who have been infected. That estimate is 28 to 55 times higher than the 7,994 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the county at the time of the study in early April. The number of COVID-related deaths in the county has now surpassed 600.

I've no doubt this will be proven to be the case. While anecdotal, the stories all over social media about people who traveled and came back in December/Jan with some nasty flu/cold virus and were told by the doc that some weird strain of pneumonia was going around. I've got some friends here at the base at McDill came back from the middle east saying a nasty virus kicked their ass for a week, long before anyone ever heard of a Covid anything.

But enough of this sciencey crap. Show me more pictures of pick up trucks with dead bodies in them, or morgues spilling bodies all over the road. That's the quality stuff right there.

They don't let you make arrangements for a dead relative at the hospital currently, that's why they have freezer trucks in NYC. The sensationalist headlines however will make you believe it's because they can't handle the load. So much bullshit going on. Hospitals also receive 13k for each covid patient and 39k for a patient on a ventilator. This is why I've always said, the only reliable metric are new hospitalizations, all other numbers can be misrepresented.

You are repeated a claim made by FOX news but not supported by facts.

if someone is admitted to the hospital for Corona and their insurance plan is Medicaid, then of course they will receive insurance payments for the hospitalization just like if I went in to the hospital with Aetna, United Healthcare or some other insurance.

But the claim that a hospital is claiming a patient has Corona to get a $13,000 check is FALSE. Just google it on SNOPES.

You are quoting what a FOX talking head said.

Exactly...is it shocking that when someone is admitted to a hospital for COVID, cancer, broken leg, appendicitis that the insurance company makes a payment to the hospital??

However, Medicare says it does not make standard, one-size-fits-all payments to hospitals for patients admitted with COVID-19 diagnoses and placed on ventilators. The $13,000 and $39,000 figures appear to be based on generic industry estimates for admitting and treating patients with similar conditions.

I read that when hospitals admit a women to give birth they receive a payment from the insurance company to cover the costs....

I bet you hospitals are padding the numbers of women who give birth and faking babies so they can get more money.

I'll bet if they could, some would. But that's a bit harder to fake. And its not a statistic being used to justify lockdowns.

We hear of medicare fraud ALL THE TIME out there. Why is it so hard to believe they're padding Covid stats?

You can very easily say someone died of Covid complications.
