June Presidential Debate

Trump lied...yawn. Trump got convicted...yawn. orange man bad...yawn. Yawn, yawn, fucking yawn. There's nothing new we learned about Trump. What was indisputably confirmed last night was Biden is gone, mentally unfit and incapable. Even the most rabid supporters are acknowledging this. It's full blown panic time at the DNC. They dicked around far too long and now what?

They are going to slip someone in at the DNC convention. The big donors are asking Joe Biden to step down. Of course, Joe Biden can refuse but, the campaign gravy train will stop running or chug along very, very slowly without the campaign cash to power that train. Gavin Newsom playing coy when asked directly, if he will be willing to replace Joe Biden. He said Joe Biden is still the nominee. Gretchen Whitmer's name being thrown around as well. I think Barack Obama might be running the show because he grabbed Joe Biden's arm and led him off the stage in one You Tube video.

how's that newsom's problem? our system is not flat. city problems are those of majors, and no goverment experience necessary to run for office.
CA doesn't enforce the law. It's not just LA. It's not just SF. It sucks across the board. The problems are statewide and can't be blamed on a single mayor or city council. The money for homelessness that disappeared came from the state. Sorry, but the buck stops with the governor. Even most Democrats are pissed off about it there, but not pissed off enough to vote Republican.

In Newsom's position i wouldn't risk it by running and ending up like Hillary.
When he is young enough to wait and win the nomination properly and run after a second term incumbent Republican and the country wants a Democrat back in office.
Trump is an incredibly weak nominee with horrendous approval ratings. Yes, he has a loyal base, but he's extremely beatable.

In February 2024, an Emerson College Polling survey showed that Trump would win in a hypothetical White House race against Newsom by 10 points (46 percent to 36).

A November 2023 Fox News poll registered voters found that Trump would win an election against Newsom by four points (49 percent to 45).

Newsom is not very relatable to ordinary voters. He comes over as a slick snakeoil salesmen. Plus being undemocratically installed at the convention is not a good look. Not to mention him being a white man pushing in a head of a colored female VP.

Let's be honest, most swing voters (the people who decide elections) don't even know who he is. He definitely wouldn't be my first choice to win. That would be Andy Beshear, because if you can win statewide in KY as a Democrat, you must be doing something right. However, is he better than Biden? Absolutely. Biden is more likely to die before Carter than be elected POTUS over Trump at this point.

Biden just gave a speech in North Catalonia
Jill walked him on and off the stage

He had a teleprompter and he did pretty good
I think it was enough to allow the media to calm down

They also confirmed to do the second debate....

This is all good news for Trump

Joe Biden's best line in the debate with President Donald Trump: We have a 1,000 trillionaires. Let me know where we can find them Joe because I would like to have my photo taken with a trillionaire.

The quiet no crowd debate setup yesterday completely worked against him. A crowd might have energised him and the complete silence just made him sound even more quiet and weak.

Its too late, the media have been instructed to get their knives out... Biden and Jill and Kamala will resist for as long as they can, its going to get ugly for the Dems.

Having said that the betting odds for him to remain as Nominee have strengthened a little bit after that the North Carolina speech.
