No its not when you actually know how to do math, if russians reached 10 million people out of 300 million, and saying that the only adds that changed elections were the russians, that means 10/300, or 1 in 30, 1 vote in 30 would not have shifted the election and thats if you accept that the only adds that made a difference were the russian ones.

Supposedly the Russian adds for 100k, (1/100000th of what hillary spent,) was enough to swing the election by more than 1/30th and that was the only thing Hillary was missing or else she would have won, lol you guys are so pathetic its just funny.

All good points. So at this point there should be universal agreement that the Russians did in fact try to influence U.S. citizens and U.S. politics via social media and the internet. The effectiveness of their efforts is unknown, and we don't know whether there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives financing or carrying out this disinformation campaign. Probably the Mueller investigation will answer the latter question for us sometime late next summer, at the earliest I would think.

But no one spotted it at the time.

For example, YouTube videos recently uncovered by the Daily Beast feature two black men with African accents calling Clinton an “evildoer” next to a Black Lives Matter logo. One meme posted on a Russian troll-operated Facebook account read—with a dropped article worthy of Boris Badenov—“Why do I have a gun? Because it’s easier for my family to get me out of jail than out of cemetery.”

Facebook has said the Russian-bought ads were probably viewed 10 million times; Columbia University professor Jonathan Albright has suggested that the ads actually were viewed hundreds of millions, and possibly billions, of times. Nevertheless, such examples of ham-handed propaganda likely didn’t raise eyebrows at the time because the function of social media is to affirm its users, said Gordon Borrell, CEO of ad industry analytics firm Borrell Associates.

On Facebook, as opposed to a medium like television, “you’re able to hone in on someone who will likely vote Republican or will likely vote Democrat and hold on to them a bit more,” Borrell told TPM. “You don’t see a lot of crossover. They’ll hold onto you as a voter—at least that’s what [social media] campaigns appear to do.”

The election wasn't decided by 300 million people, it was decided by 80000 in few swing states, Russians deliberately targeted key states with propaganda and fake news, that's gotta have an effect in a close election.

Talking of math illiteracy, you choose an irrelevant sample size, ignore the law of large numbers and then pretend that the money spent against Hillary was only from the Russians by saying it was just 1/10th. You ignore all the money Trump spent, all the money Mercers and the oligarchs spent which was HIDDEN, all the SuperPAC money and all the Russian money unaccounted for.

It is no longer breaking news. It is now established fact. What is odd, is the now U.S. President sucking on the Russian tit during his campaign.
