Julian Assange is a trader :D

I wish someone would explain to me why it is ok for the NYT and WashPost to publish top secret government material but Assange is a traitor and evil for doing so.

He did the job the mainstream media refused to do. We owe him. Trump should pardon him, just to watch the heads explode. Maybe the next time he needs a distraction.

It disgusts me that there are people on this site who cheer the indictment of Dick Cheney, not because they know anything about the merits of the case but merely because he is a republican, yet defend this Assange guy.

The people who "leaked" this material should be charged with espionage and this guy should be charged with aiding and abetting them. Give them a fair trial them lock them all up for decades.

That said, the way this came about is horrifying on several levels. One, it is horrifying that one man who seems to be a radical anarchist is deciding what to release. Two, it is horrifying that the government has so little control over its supposed vital secrets that an unstable PFC in the Army can loot and divulge all these documents. Three, it is horrifying that not one official has apparently lost their job over this vast security breach.
