Judge Rules NYC Buses Must Allow 'Killing Jews' Ads

(NEWSER) – Soon, you could see MTA buses in New York with the words "Killing Jews is Worship that draws us close to Allah" on the side. That's because a controversial pro-Israel group wants to run the ads—they show a man with a Palestinian keffiyeh covering his face alongside the aforementioned quote, which is attributed to "Hamas MTV," plus the slogan, "That's his Jihad. What's yours?"—and this week a federal judge decreed that the MTA must comply in order to abide by the First Amendment,Courthouse News reports. (There is no "Hamas MTV"; the ad is actually referencing a music video militants broadcast in the Gaza Strip.) The decision won't take effect for a month, in case the agency wants to appeal, the New York Times reports.

I don't care.

My lifelong jewish friends vote for leftists consistently despite the left doing everything it can to eliminate jews from the face of the earth.

That kind of stupidity isn't something that elicits a sympathetic response from me anymore. Leftist jews are genocidal towards themselves. Can't be helped.

That has long been one of life's mysteries to me. The biggest supporters of Israel are fundamentalist Christians, who also happen to be the group most American jews despise with the most vengeance.

My theory is that jewish self-loathing is very similar to liberal self-loathing. Combine that with the effort to distance themselves from their perceived role as capitalists and you have this uneasy coalition we see today.

The Church understands and cares for the nation of Israel, but not the other way around. It's a Jesus thing.

Unfortunately, the first amendment allows for such things, and we as Americans have to accept that.

MTA is owned by the city, isn't it? The city also has the right to not accept those ads on their buses. Free Speech is allowed by right, but that does not mean the MTA should be forced to accept any advertiser without the ability to censor. The city has rights, too.

Well sort of. I mean, if the ads were about not baking cakes for gay weddings, that would be disallowed. Or reporting on black on black crime, that would be hate speech. Anti-Hillary ads? Sexist.

You are aware, I'm sure, that I am speaking about what should be, not what is.

There is a thin line here. If the ad actually advocated killing jews as a religious act, then they clearly could be banned as advocating a crime. Instead, they purport to be quoting a terrorist group and therefore are in the form of commentary on that group.

They do that to make God happy, not Jews...
