This guy says he will be persecuted if he returns to Mexico. In other words, he was a criminal in Mexico and there is a warrant out for his arrest.

A convicted drunk driver who broke back into the U.S. after being deported can stay, and was released from jail Monday, thanks to a California judge’s ruling.

In addition to drunk driving, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforecment (ICE) officials report that Carrillo has also been convicted of possession of false identification.

The judge ruled that 33 year-old Fernando Carrillo is free to live in the U.S. because he fears he might be persecuted if he returns to Mexico, his home country.

THIS is why Trump won and will win again in 2020.

It will be a long battle to reverse this nonsense but it has certainly begun w/Trump.

The ruling is based on "proven" fact. Fact that we do not have access to, but the Judge does! This is why we have courts and judges. You'll have to get used to that if you're going to stick around. We don't like lynch mob mentality in the U.S. And therefore we follow the rule of law, wherever that takes us. Sometimes we don't like the result based on our, usually, very limited knowledge. Whenever you read or hear something that sounds wrong, does not ring true, the first thing to do, is to consider the reliability of the source. Most likely the reason it sounds wrong is because it is, or alternatively because you lack important information. The reason these stories crop up, and on the surface sound ridiculous, is because they are being intentionally reported in a highly prejudicial manner. Such stories are used very handily by those with a particular political agenda. Truth is not the objective.

Where to start? "We don't like lynch mob mentality in the U.S". LOL. Tell it to Al Franken and the rest.
"And therefore we follow the rule of law" LOL. Rule of law says the feds have the supreme power over immigration. Tell that rule of law to the criminal AG and Gov. of California.
"Truth is not the objective." Truth is rarely the objective in a court of law for the defense, which is why so much evidence is suppressed. Truth rarely is the objective in modern day journalism. Ruins a good fantasy tale of fiction. And in politics, truth is f'n a death sentence.

What are you going on about?

The man in in the country illegally, breaking laws. The fact that he may or may not be imprisoned for crimes he did in Mexico is irrelevant. He's not entitled to any protection - he's an illegal alien!

Oh, we know how the lefty drill works.

As more and more illegal undesirables are finally removed from this country- with more to come as the increased funding for agents kicks in- the cry goes out from lefties that this is all just a poltical move from jackbooted, racist, brownshirts in DC- even though their deportation is approved by a judge.

But if a judge allows an illegal to stay, the lefties argue that it is because the judges are up on Mount Olympus, unlike the mere mortal zambonis here, who do not have the Secret Batman Decoder Ring that the judge has which shows him/her all the facts.

As we go forward and see some of the less politically correct deportations pick up speed, I wonder if Saint Piezo will be here to remind us how we must all remember that the judge has facts and an elevated view that others do not have access to. I think I know the answer.

Tell that rule of law to the criminal AG and Gov. of California.
Well that was my point. They are not criminals except by our lynch mob judgement of them. If they were criminals, there are enough people that would like to see these guys behind bars up it would probably happen (at least for a few hours until their lawyers arrived). They are either acting within the law, or in a gray area that hasn't made it to the courts yet. We should not forget that in America you are innocent until proven guilty, unless you don't have enough money to pay a good lawyer. In that case you'11 be locked up right away and treated like a criminal until you are proven innocent in a court of law. And good luck if you are depending on a public defender. :D
