Judas

Quote from Pa(b)st Prime:

How dare someone endorse a moderate Senator they've worked two decades with instead of some opaque guy who was in the Illinois Senate three years ago.

Those who vote Democrat are only LYING TO THEMSELVES if they don't think/know/realize that much of the Dem old guard in the Senate is as neo-con as the Bush White House.

And like it or not multitudes agree with him on the Spiritual & military importance of Israel.Like that wisdom myself.

He probably has some conservative Christian friends like Alaskan Gov Sarah .
or maybe he realized the wisdom of speculator Benard Baruch , who said ''vote for the politician who promises the least;
that way you will be the least disappointed'':D

What the far left (eg, Pelosi) don't like is any disagreement with the party line among the ranks. Lieberman is too smart for them, too independent, and that's why they tried to get rid of him before and lost big. This pseudo-controversy is another example of this great politician just thumbing his nose at the establishment. He will not be tethered of intimidated - cudos to him!

Plus, the whole "hearing" and "soulsearching" thing was so fake and unreal - who would ever allow them to throw Lieberman to the Republicans who are gasping for Senate votes at the moment? C'mon, get real, they are not THAT stupid, although they sometimes look the part. The dispute was a clear fake and his chairmanship was never in trouble.

Fake all the way.
If the Democrats had principles they would not take him back.
If the senator wanted to stand on principles and not seeking the power of a committee he would quit the party. After all they ran a different candidate against in his own party.

Dude, are you on drugs? HE'S NOT A DEMOCRAT. He lost the primary in 2006 and ran against the Democratic candidate as an independent. He calls himself an "Indepedent Democrat" but that's just nonsense words. He's not a Democrat and should have lost ALL of his chairmanships back in 2007 with the new Congress. But Harry Reid is just another slimy political animal and they figured they needed LIEberman to keep their pseudo-majority in 2007-2008. Now that they have a real majority, LIEberman should be kicked like a football out of their caucus. Who gives a fuck if he joins the Republicans?

All this bullshit is to keep the filibuster. Makes no sense, filibustering isn't part of the Constitution and hasn't always been part of the Senate rules. If the filibuster is that damn important, at least make the filibusterers work for it like they had to originally. Now some asshat just stands and mutters "filibuster" and suddenly a supermajority of 60 is required to get anything done. This is insanity, and what people should really be pissed off about.
