first time doing topstep, will report trades here for myself to learn and keep accountability
only trading /mes for now
account is currently in combine, which is paper trading
will report if account is suspended(lose 2k) or promoted to live(gain 3k)

1 contract per trade
static stop loss of 10points or $50 per trade
at 2k to suspension that is a 40 trade draw down
profit target is set and will depend on personal strategy
trading 0 to 3 times, intraday only

trade reporting format:
[trade#,direction,entry_price,entry_time(nyc),stop_price,profit_price,exit_price,exit_time(nyc)]

example:
  • 1st post: [10,long,4500,9:40,4490,4520,,]
  • 2nd post: [10,long,4500,9:40,4490,4520,4490,9:50]

Expected strong selling via early on "price action" (maybe intuition)?
A lot of strong emotions since coming back to trading also my plan is not as sound as I thought. Random bouts of doubt throughout the trading session. Forgot how much emotion I had felt back then.

Been thinking of control in life and trading in general. The more options I have to control the outcome the more I feel like I can control in general. That is why maybe I have emotions while trading today. The only thing I could control is my target and my entry, but maybe I should have only a couple choices to reduce this aspect. In many cases it is very similar to playing slots or some other form of gambling or having a lucky charm. People in general think that doing a certain task will lead to for example rain (rain dances back in the day). Also we can think of the aspect of having too many options and not being sure what to choose. Essentially "the paradox of choice" which is about overwhelming options causing decision fatigue.
 
Can I suggest a change in the way you let us know your trades?

How about to send a post when you enter the trade and then another one when you exit?
Then we can see the timestamp on both trades and can compare it with the actual price at the time.

That way everyone could understand that you are not making up your trades.

Sure, planning to do it tomorrow. Need to get used to the format and improve efficiency, I see some people on other forums just post entry and stop. I will probably keep my format though or change it over time if I find a faster way. I am not a profitable trader just getting back to working on my strategy btw.
 
Target and stop are now in points away from entry. So If I go long at 5000 stop 10pts means 4990 is my stop. To improve posting speed.
