Journal XburbX - My Plan

Yah. I am in my last trade for the day not because of the paint though. TS shut down on me and I had saved workspaces but the main chart window didnt open back up. Then when I reopened it all my lines were gone. I have one trade on that was on prior to the shutdown. Just getting used to the new platform. 2 losses and 1 win today. Moderate win so this last trade will dictate the PNL. The order entry system on TS is real nice but the charts are taking some getting used to. I like how robust it is.
 
Done for day. Last trade out on MCD. Slight positive on the day. I emailed TS to get some answers to a few questions. It usually takes me about a week to get quick and confident with a new platform.

What the hell you doin trading w/ a platform before its vetted – nothing but self induced systemic RISK

if nothing else take a few days and learn to use yer tool - before using yer tool

You're right about the platform. I was too excited to jump on it. Do you ever lose lines for channels when switching between tfs?

If I draw TL(s) on a higher TF chart, then reduce that chart to a lower TF

ex; Say I draw TL lines on a 1hr..., then reduce that chart to a 10 min - or whatever lower TF

Yeah - I lose em every time

otoh

If I draw TL line(s) on a lower TF - then increase that chart's TF - the lines remain

So I was just reviewing my trades from today and taking pictures. Im an idiot. I think it was because I was getting used to the platform ........ I took a trade in the wrong direction and didnt realize it until now. I'm glad the stop was small and non impacting.
 
So the bad news is using TS will take make 2-3 hours to scan my stocks. The great news is that it really forces me to focus on how those bigger candles are made. It isnt too often that you get excited when you realize you just added 2-3 hours of work to your day. I heart markets
